Bio
Francesco Pacileo is a Partner at Angelini e Associati. He is an Associate Professor of Business Law at Sapienza University of Rome—where he also teaches Italian and European Banking Law.
He advises on the legal aspects of banking and financial transactions, corporate crisis and restructuring, as well as Company Law and other legal entities transactions.
Throughout his career, he has assisted Italian and international clients, both in litigation and out-of-court matters, in relation to banking and financial contracts, banking and financial supervision, alternative finance transactions, fintech, insolvency of investment funds, wrongful granting of loans, extraordinary corporate transactions, corporate groups, and publicly owned companies, liability of company directors and statutory and account auditors, unfair commercial practices.
He has also dealt with insolvency proceedings, also concerning insolvency of major corporate groups.
Francesco closely monitors the most recent legislative and case law developments concerning digital innovation and sustainability in accordance with ESG criteria.
He is a member of the Italian Association of Business Law Professors “Orizzonti del Diritto Commerciale.”
He is the author of several publications in prestigious academic journals in the field of Business Law, serves on the scientific and editorial boards of academic journals, and has spoken at numerous national and international academic conferences. He is also the author of two monographs widely appreciated by the academic community (“Business Crisis: Continuity and Solvency” and “Artificial Intelligence in the Enterprise”).
